Description
The Lopers Club and the City of Loma Linda present the 35th annual Lopers Club Holiday Classic Half Marathon and 5K! The Holiday Classic is the Inland Empire’s longest running annual holiday running event and a local tradition for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities!
Location
The race Start/Finish will take place in front of the Loma Linda Fire Station located at 11325 Loma Linda Dr., Loma Linda, CA 92354. Park in any nearby lot except for the Veteran's Hospital.
Event information
This year’s event will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The Half Marathon and 5K will run simultaneously. Start time is 7:00 am. The Half Marathon has a course limit of 4 hours which is allows for walkers who can maintain an 18 minute per mile average pace. There will be many walkers as well as runners in both the 5k and Half Marathon.
The Start/Finish Line will be located near the corner of Barton Road and Loma Linda Drive, in front of the Loma Linda Fire station.
Event features
The Holiday Classic Half Marathon and 5K run/walk, provides scenic mountain views with stimulating inclines on a course which winds through the lovely streets of Loma Linda. Beautiful, long-sleeved tech shirts will be provided for all participants who register prior to November 10, 2024. Participants registering after the cutoff will receive a shirt while supplies last, we might not have your size if you register in less than three weeks before the event. All finishers of both the Half Marathon and the 5K event will be awarded beautiful finishers' medals. Trophies will be awarded to the overall top male and female winner of each race. Division medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in each of 20 age divisions. Bring the kids! The Holiday Classic includes a ¼ mile Elves Trot fun run for children ages 3-6. Every participating elf will receive an adorable Santa medal.
Post-race festivities
All participants of the Half Marathon and 5K will receive a free breakfast. There is a $3 charge for Elves Trot participants. Also free to all participants, a soothing, post-race mini-massage provided by gentle therapists from Precision in Movement.
Groups/teams
Create a team for your family, friends and coworkers to join. Each team participant will get a $5 discount for teams of between 5 and 14 participants. Each participant will get a $10 discount for teams of greater than 15 participants.
Bib pickup and registration
Pick up your shirt and bib Saturday, December 7, from 10 am to 3 pm, at Running Center in Redlands (1430 Industrial Park Avenue, Redlands).
Volunteer check-in
Volunteers can pick up their volunteer assignments and T-shirts Saturday, December 7, from 10 am to 3 pm, at Running Center in Redlands (1430 Industrial Park Avenue, Redlands).
Holiday Toy Drive
Join the Loma Linda Fire Department and ABC7 in the 32nd annual Spark of Love Toy Drive--the largest community toy drive in the nation.
The fire department will be accepting new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens. The toys collected will be donated to families within our own community.
Donations are also accepted at both Loma Linda fire stations and at Loma Linda City Hall.
The Spark of Love Toy Drive embodies the spirit of compassion, generosity and community involvement during the holiday season.

Both the Half Marathon and 5K races start and finish next to the Loma Linda Civic Center, in front of the fire department at Barton Road and Loma Linda Drive in Loma Linda CA.
